Universal Gateway

Introduction

Matrix Universal Gateway solution offers integrated connectivity to Omni-present POTS, GSM/CDMA/3G, ISDN BRI, T1/E1/PRI and VoIP networks.  It is vital for any modern enterprise to link its telecom infrastructure with these networks for two benefits – Connectivity and Cost. Matrix Universal Gateway is link between your existing PBX and these networks ensuring right connectivity and least incurred cost for each and every outbound call.

Flexibility and scalability are key strengths of the Universal Gateways. Its open architecture with universal slots allows insertion of any interface cards in any of the slots available. These gateways can expand with growing call traffic requirements of an organization and are scalable up to as many as 8 T1/E1/PRI ports, 32 GSM ports and up to 128 VoIP channels.

With ‘all-in-one’ Universal gateway solution there is no need of having multiple gateway equipments for multiple network interfaces. It can configure to serve the exact traffic requirements of an organization by combination of interface cards tailored for required number of ports for efficient utilization of hardware resources.

Universal gateway is an ideal solution for workplaces such as a Outbound and Inbound Contact/Call centers, Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs) or organizations or businesses with heavy call traffic and high outbound calling activities on regular basis where efficient handling and routing of calls, minimizing the wait-time for customers and round-the-clock availability are direct measures of efficiency, productivity and professional image of an organization.

Eternity - Universal Gateways
Matrix Universal Gateways are integrated and flexible to interface with traditional analog, digital and new-generation wireless communication networks. Traditional analog interfaces like FXS, FXO, E&M and Magneto, Digital networks like T1/E1, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI and wireless GSM, CDMA, 3G and VoIP networks are well supported by these Gateways.

Universal call routing allows routing of a call on any of the networks available. A VoIP call can be routed on to GSM/CDMA/3G or T1/E1/PRI ports. Similarly, a call from T1/E1/PRI can be routed on any of VoIP, GSM/CDMA/3G or POTS ports, allowing full call traffic on all the ports. Universal routing combined with least cost routing, telephony costs can be significantly reduced by selecting the most economical network for call routing based on number, time, network, port and combinations of each.

Universal Gateways can be precisely configured to serve the exact call traffic requirements of an organization by combination of interface cards tailored for required number of ports. Gateways are very useful for even smaller set-ups with fewer ports to large configurations for enterprises. Gateway capacity can be easily expanded in later stages depending upon future requirements of an organization.

Gateway works as an adjunct to your existing telephony infrastructure, no need to replace any equipment like PBX, Operator consoles, Key phones, Standard analog phones, Power supply and Wiring. This not only saves additional investment on acquiring new equipments, but also saves time and efforts required for re-installation of the system and re-training to users.
